Repair House recently completed the renovation of Unit 1 at a residential property in Gisborne, transforming a one-bedroom unit into a refreshed and more functional two-bedroom home.

Following the successful upgrade of Unit 3, this project continued the site-wide improvement programme, focusing on practicality, comfort, and increased rental potential. The design included converting part of the generous lounge area—or enclosing the existing covered deck under the roofline—to create a well-proportioned second bedroom.

Our team delivered the full scope of work without any variations, completing all elements in accordance with the Building Act and the property’s design intent.

Scope of Work

• Framed and lined new bedroom
• Removed and replaced kitchen cabinetry and bathroom fittings
• Installed new kitchen benchtop and rangehood
• Installed new shower, vanity, and toilet
• Re-lined and repainted laundry area with new tub
• Plastered, painted, and fitted new flooring throughout
