Repair House recently completed a renovation of Unit 3 at a property in Gisborne, giving this two-bedroom unit a fresh, functional update.
The works included replacing rotten cladding, fascia, awning frames, stairs, and baseboards, as well as exterior painting for a cleaner, more appealing look. Drainage was improved with new downpipes and corner soakers, and minor foundation cracks were filled.
Inside, the unit received a new subfloor moisture barrier, ceiling insulation, smoke alarms, a bathroom extractor fan, flooring in the kitchen and bathroom, window latches, and draft stopping. These updates make the space safer and more comfortable for tenants.
There’s also potential to enclose the roofed deck into a third bedroom or add a sleepout where space allows, giving flexibility to maximise rental value.
Unit 1 and 2 renovations to follow soon. Stay tuned.
